Senior Payment Provider Reconciliation Accountant

About the role

indrive is looking for a senior accounting professional to own the preparation of payment‑provider reconciliations, journal entries and supporting documentation. You will work closely with the Revenue Manager to ensure accurate, timely data for review, issue resolution and ERP posting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly reconciliations of payment‑provider transactions against ERP records, gateway reports and bank statements.
• Research and document discrepancies (settlements, refunds, chargebacks, fees, FX, failed transactions) and propose resolutions.
• Maintain settlement aging schedules, assemble escalation packages for PSPs, gateways and banks, and keep audit‑ready reconciliation documentation.
• Create PSP‑related journal entries (fees, commissions, adjustments, chargebacks, refunds) and supporting schedules for accruals, revenue recognition (ASC 606), bad‑debt, tax and loan entries.
• Provide SOX control evidence, respond to audit requests and support public‑company readiness.
• Document current processes, identify inefficiencies, prepare business cases for automation and support UAT activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 6+ years of hands‑on accounting experience in high‑volume, multi‑currency environments.
• Strong knowledge of PSPs, payment gateways, settlement workflows and bank reconciliation.
• Solid grounding in US GAAP, revenue recognition and the financial close process.
• Experience with SOX compliance and internal‑control documentation.

• SAP, Oracle or NetSuite ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel for large, multi‑source data sets and FX conversion.
