Senior Field Process Engineer

About the role

The Customer Support Business Group enables customers with premier support throughout the equipment lifecycle. As a Senior Field Process Engineer you will act as a customer‑focused expert, providing process support, installations, training and identifying design improvements for Lam equipment at site locations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide process support, installation, and resolve and improve process/system/productivity at customer sites.
• Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) to characterize process windows for new installations or hardware modifications.
• Design and run experiments, collect and analyze data, generate reports and recommendations.
• Develop new processes for small variants of existing customer applications.
• Manage application‑related projects, including planning, problem definition, approach development and recommendation delivery.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and customers to understand needs, technology road‑maps and business challenges.
• Represent Lam to customers, delivering exceptional satisfaction and technical instruction.

Required profile

• PhD in Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science or related field, or equivalent experience (Master’s with 3+ years or Bachelor’s with 5+ years).
• Proficiency with computer applications including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong customer‑relationship skills.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and be on‑call when needed.
