Senior DevOps Engineer – Trading Platforms

About the role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to own the infrastructure that powers Pepperstone’s regulated trading platform. The role sits at the intersection of Core Engineering, Operations and Platform teams, ensuring reliable, scalable, and observable services that handle real‑time client orders, margin and money.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable infrastructure and self‑service tooling for the trading platform.
• Create and optimise CI‑CD pipelines that enable fast, safe software releases.
• Implement centralized logging, metrics, tracing, alerting and operational runbooks to improve observability.
• Drive automation, capacity planning, failover strategies and environment management for production readiness.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical leadership on architecture decisions, mentor engineers and promote best practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on infrastructure and delivery automation.
• Passion for building reliable, high‑availability platforms in a fast‑moving fintech environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work across multiple teams.

Required skills

• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Infrastructure automation and self‑service platform tooling.
• Observability practices including logging, metrics, tracing and alerting.
• Capacity planning, failover and recovery tooling.
