Senior Brand Designer – Brand Foundations

About the role

Payward is looking for a Senior Brand Designer to own and evolve its core brand system. You will set the standards that enable product pods across the company to deliver consistent, high‑quality brand experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain brand guidelines, component libraries, templates, and asset libraries used daily by product teams.
• Raise brand quality across pods by providing better tools, clearer guidance, and a higher creative bar.
• Define visual identity standards for emerging surfaces, AI‑generated outputs, motion, and new product categories.
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and product partners to identify systemic issues and create root‑cause solutions.
• Translate complex crypto‑rail and on‑chain finance concepts into clear, usable brand guidance.
• Lead design reviews with a constructive, generative approach.
• Stay ahead of evolving design tools, including AI, and shape how the brand system adapts.

Required profile

• Deep experience as a brand designer in agency, in‑house, or both, with a proven track record of building and evolving brand systems.
• Systems‑thinking mindset, able to spot patterns and solve structural problems.
• Strong expertise in visual identity and how it creates meaning, trust, and recognition at scale.
• Strategic affinity for upstream brand definition before execution.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate brand concepts to non‑design stakeholders.
