Senior AI Engineer - Growth

About the role

Payward is building an AI‑native growth engine that powers every product’s acquisition and retention workflows. As a Senior AI Engineer in the Growth Foundations Group, you will work closely with the AI Growth Infrastructure Lead and domain experts to design, ship, and iterate autonomous agents that drive paid media, lifecycle messaging, organic content, conversion optimisation and more.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement agent orchestration workflows that automate decision‑making across paid growth, lifecycle, SEO, CRO, incentives and referrals.
• Develop and maintain integrations between the AI reasoning layer, growth execution platforms, data infrastructure, experimentation systems and analytics tools.
• Create reusable infrastructure components such as prompt libraries, workflow patterns and integration clients for all growth workstreams.
• Implement monitoring, audit logging and versioning to ensure every agent action is traceable and governed.
• Document workflows thoroughly so domain specialists can understand, tune and improve them without developer assistance.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience building automation workflows, integrations or agentic systems using AI orchestration or workflow automation platforms.
• Strong ability to work from detailed specifications and deliver production‑ready solutions independently.
• Understanding of growth or marketing contexts to align technical output with business objectives.
• Track record of shipping high‑quality code quickly while maintaining reliability.

Required skills

• Automation workflow development (AI orchestration platforms, workflow automation tools).
• API integration expertise (REST, webhooks, authentication, error handling at scale).
• LLM API usage including prompt engineering, structured outputs, tool use and agent chaining.
