Senior Accounting Officer

About the role

Join IC, a global fintech leader, as a Senior Accounting Officer in Limassol. You will own complex accounting processes, guide junior staff, and act as a key liaison for auditors and external partners in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily bookkeeping of supplier invoices, bank transactions and monthly customer invoicing.
• Prepare and review complex monthly journal entries, including amortisation, depreciation and right‑of‑use assets.
• Review weekly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage supplier reconciliations and the year‑end supplier reconciliation process.
• Prepare month‑end accounting reports with commentary for senior finance leadership.
• Coordinate external auditor requests and ensure compliance with client‑money rules.
• Own VAT return supporting schedules and liaise with tax advisors.
• Provide guidance to junior accountants and contribute to internal‑control improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an international or regulated financial services firm.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and month‑end/year‑end close processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, modelling).
• Proven ability to review and mentor junior team members.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
