Senior Accountant

About the role

Asterisk Corporate Services is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its hybrid team in Nicosia. You will own a portfolio of clients, work independently, and collaborate closely with the Managing Director to support the firm’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the accounting function for an assigned portfolio of clients, maintaining complete and accurate records and performing bookkeeping and accounting entries.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management accounts using Caseware.
• Communicate directly with clients to obtain information, resolve accounting matters and ensure deadlines are met.
• Handle multiple client assignments independently and support the Managing Director on complex matters.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.
• 3‑4 years of professional accounting experience, capable of producing records based on IFRS and interacting with clients independently.
• Qualified or partially qualified ACCA, ACA or CPA is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of Cyprus tax legislation, VAT and payroll.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Caseware accounting software.
• International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
