Reconciliation and Safeguarding Officer

About the role

Join a fast‑growing multinational financial services firm that specialises in online trading. As a Reconciliation and Safeguarding Officer you will ensure the accuracy of client fund movements and support the finance team in maintaining robust operational controls.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of client funds across bank accounts and PSPs.
• Prepare and maintain balance reports, monitor transfers and settlements.
• Reconcile trading activity, trade confirmations, settlements and payments.
• Generate analytical reports on reconciliation activities and financial discrepancies.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Support system and software implementation initiatives.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, liaising with internal teams and external partners.
• Prepare fee analysis of service providers and assist with regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and support ad‑hoc finance projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in reconciliation or a similar finance role.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
