Payment Officer – FX (Cyprus)

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous Payment Officer to join our foreign exchange (FX) team in Cyprus. You will play a key part in ensuring accurate and compliant processing of all incoming and outgoing payments within a fast‑moving financial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify payments, maintaining strict accuracy and compliance with internal and external policies.
• Update transaction records in financial systems for audit readiness.
• Liaise with banks, clearing houses and other institutions to resolve payment issues promptly.
• Assist in reconciling payment accounts, identifying and correcting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve payment workflows and operational efficiency.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry regulations and best practices to mitigate risk.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar financial role, preferably within FX or banking.
• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Greek is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure in a dynamic setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with financial software.
• Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
