Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to develop mechanical parts and assemblies for the food industry and ICT device enclosures. The role involves creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and ensuring designs meet quality, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical parts, assemblies and enclosures for food‑industry and ICT applications.
• Produce detailed 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks for sheet‑metal, laser cutting, bending, CNC machining, 3D printing and injection‑molding processes.
• Collaborate with electrical and other engineering teams to integrate mechanical and electronic components.
• Perform tolerance, thermal and structural analyses and validate designs.
• Support prototyping, testing and iterative design improvements.
• Coordinate with international suppliers and manufacturing partners to verify feasibility and cost‑effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/DIN standards, safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
• Document design processes, specifications, bills of materials and test results.
• Manage engineering change orders (ECO) and design revisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in ICT or electronics.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software, especially SolidWorks.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, CNC machining, laser cutting, bending and 3D printing.
• Experience working in the food industry.
• English proficiency (minimum B1 level); Greek is optional.
