Legal Counsel

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, business‑minded Legal Counsel to join the legal team at Servers.com by Nexcess. The role will support global operations, advising senior leadership on commercial, corporate and compliance matters while balancing legal risk with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including terms and conditions, consulting, marketing, lease, employment and vendor agreements.
• Maintain and evolve contract templates and playbooks, overseeing the full contract lifecycle from drafting to archiving.
• Provide counsel on employment law matters such as hiring, terminations and restructurings.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks in data privacy, security, anti‑bribery, AI and other regulatory areas.
• Support corporate governance, litigation, due‑diligence, M&A and statutory compliance for entities worldwide.
• Develop and update internal policies on data retention, surveillance, AI, privacy and employment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law (LL.B., LL.M. or equivalent).
• 5‑7 years of post‑qualification experience in corporate and commercial law, with strong contract negotiation skills.
• Proven expertise in US, UK and EU legal frameworks, GDPR and other EU privacy regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, with strong analytical and detail‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication, comfortable in a multinational environment.
