Head of Finance – Remote (Russian Speaker)

About the role

WhizzWhizz, the leading e‑bike subscription service for gig‑delivery workers in North America, is looking for a Head of Finance to own its finance and accounting function. This senior, operational role is fully remote and reports directly to the CEO, focusing on accurate reporting, disciplined budgeting, and strong financial controls across an asset‑heavy business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and ensure accuracy of P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet; manage monthly close on schedule.
• Oversee inventory and fleet accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, fixed‑asset register, disposals, and reconciliation.
• Maintain and update the company’s financial model; build annual and quarterly budgets with department heads and track performance against plan.
• Design and implement financial control frameworks: approval procedures, spend controls, segregation of duties, and cash/receivables/payables oversight.
• Manage in‑house accountants and an outsourced accounting firm, defining responsibilities and ensuring deadlines and quality.
• Supervise payroll, multi‑state tax registrations and filings, statutory reporting, and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and product teams on pricing, new city launches, vendor contracts, and payment system changes, identifying financial implications early.

Required profile

• 7+ years in accounting and finance, with experience leading a full monthly close as Controller, Head of Finance, or equivalent.
• Proven experience in the US market, including multi‑state payroll and tax compliance.
• Hands‑on experience with inventory and fixed‑asset accounting in a physical, asset‑heavy business.
• Track record of building finance processes from the ground up.
• Experience managing both internal accounting staff and external providers.
