Head of Finance (Cyprus)

About the role

The Head of Finance will lead the financial regulatory compliance for Payward Europe Digital Solutions (PEDSL) in Cyprus. Reporting to the CEO and Board, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory filings and robust internal controls for the MiFID‑II regulated entity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial compliance policies, procedures and regulatory reporting frameworks.
• Prepare, track and submit required financial metrics and regulatory reports.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly financial closings and annual audited statements.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis of revenues, P&L and balance sheet.
• Coordinate with Treasury, Compliance, Legal and product teams on licensing, asset segregation and regulatory requests.
• Lead internal controls, risk remediation and audit support for the Cyprus entity.

Required profile

• 12‑15 years of experience in finance, regulatory reporting or similar roles, with 3‑5 years in fintech or related industry.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; ACA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in MiFID‑II and custodial/safeguarding requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and independent work capabilities.
