About the role
We are looking for a hands‑on finance generalist to run day‑to‑day finance operations and help build our finance function. The role focuses on accounting mechanics, bookkeeping, close, payments and related processes, working closely with the VP Finance and external tax advisors.
Key responsibilities
- Own monthly, quarterly and annual close for both entities, including bookkeeping, AR/AP, intercompany bookings, bank reconciliations and reporting packs.
- Manage the full cash cycle: invoicing, dunning, collections, payment reconciliations and revenue recognition under HGB.
- Improve finance processes by automating manual tasks and building reporting pipelines using tools such as DATEV, Spendesk and easybill.
- Support fundraising and compliance by keeping audit‑ready records and assisting with due‑diligence data rooms.
- Contribute to management reporting, budgeting and scenario planning while maintaining a single source of truth.
- Participate in finance‑adjacent projects including debt financing, public grants and intercompany governance.
Required profile
- 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in accounting, bookkeeping or finance operations.
- Solid technical knowledge of HGB accounting principles.
- Experience with monthly/annual close, reconciliations, AR/AP and payment runs.
- Comfortable using finance tools such as DATEV, Spendesk/Moss, Stripe/easybill and Google Sheets.
- Professional fluency in German and English.
- Degree in business administration, economics or a related qualification (e.g., Bilanzbuchhalter, ACCA).
