English Language Lecturer

About the role

City Unity College Nicosia is looking for motivated English Language Lecturers to deliver foundation‑level and higher‑education English courses. The role involves preparing students for internationally recognised examinations such as IELTS or TOEFL while supporting their overall academic development.

Key responsibilities

• Teach English language courses at both foundation and higher education levels.
• Prepare students for external examinations (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL).
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Develop students' academic English skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking.
• Participate in curriculum development and academic meetings.
• Maintain accurate academic records, including assessments and attendance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English Language.
• MA in TESOL.
• Proven teaching experience.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Access).
