Electronic Engineer – Marine Robotics

About the role

The Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI) is seeking a motivated Electronic Engineer to join its Marine Autonomous, Robotic & Intelligent Systems Centre (MARIC). You will work on designing and optimising electronic systems for unmanned marine platforms, integrating advanced sensors and contributing to testing and deployment activities at sea.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise electronic hardware for autonomous marine vehicles, including analog and digital circuitry.
• Integrate and validate sensors, communication modules and IoT components on prototype platforms.
• Support testing, sea trials and deployment of unmanned marine systems, reporting to the Head of MARIC.

Required profile

• BSc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
• Hands‑on experience with control systems, autopilots, sensors, communication systems or IoT.
• Proven ability to design, prototype and debug analog and digital circuits, including PCB development.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to work independently in a multicultural environment.
