DevSecOps Team Lead

About the role

Deel is a global payroll and HR platform that enables companies to hire, pay, and manage talent worldwide. As the DevSecOps Team Lead, you will head a group of engineers responsible for building a "Security‑as‑Code" ecosystem that empowers development teams to ship software faster and more securely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of DevSecOps engineers, conducting performance reviews and fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Define and own the multi‑quarter DevSecOps strategy and roadmap, aligning security initiatives with broader business and engineering goals.
• Act as the primary liaison between security, operations, and engineering stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated security guardrails, self‑service security tools, and architectural guidance for development teams.
• Scale and operate the security infrastructure to support Deel’s global platform serving millions of users across 150+ countries.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading DevSecOps or security engineering teams in a fast‑growing SaaS environment.
• Strong understanding of security, operations, and software engineering principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Track record of defining strategic roadmaps and delivering measurable security outcomes.
