Data Architect – Enterprise Data Platform

About the role

TradingView is seeking a senior Data Architect to design, evolve, and manage its enterprise data architecture. You will work closely with backend, solution, and infrastructure architects to ensure financial data streams are reliable, cost‑effective, and ready for AI/ML innovations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve corporate data architecture, including real‑time streaming pipelines and data lakes.
• Facilitate Architecture Review Boards to set data standards and best practices.
• Create Architecture Decision Records covering data tiering, retention, quality metrics, and master data management.
• Build data lineage and centralized ownership using metadata tools.
• Define, negotiate, and monitor SLA/SLO for data quality and reliability.
• Choose optimal storage solutions (warehouses, lakes, lakehouses) balancing functionality and cost.
• Formulate long‑term data strategies and prepare infrastructure for AI/ML (semantic layer, feature stores, ML pipelines).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and present proposals to senior leadership.
• Mentor data engineers and analysts to raise engineering standards.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in large‑scale, geo‑distributed data environments.
• Expert‑level SQL proficiency.
• Deep knowledge of data warehouses (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, Azure Synapse) and data lakes/lakehouses.
• Strong background in real‑time data delivery, CDC, and streaming platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with data processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, and dbt.
