Catering Officer

About the role

The Catering Officer will ensure that crew victualling rates are met and that catering services on board meet or exceed client expectations. You will be responsible for procuring provisions, monitoring service quality, and supporting vessels with necessary catering materials within budgetary guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quotations and purchase orders for provisions and stores according to client needs and budget agreements.
• Communicate promptly with vessels to ensure smooth delivery of catering services.
• Monitor the quality of victualling services on board and ensure they meet or exceed client and crew expectations.
• Track operating budgets, report any over‑consumption, and cooperate with the Victualing Department.
• Implement operating standards, policies, and procedures and handle inter‑office communications.

Required profile

• Good understanding of finance with strong analytical skills.
• Strong computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Office and accounting systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills in English.
• High personal integrity, self‑motivation and ability to work under tight schedules.
