Business Development Specialist

About the role

Zazoo is a digital banking platform serving high‑risk sectors such as adult content, iGaming, crypto and payments. As a Business Development Specialist you will join the team before product launch to build the pipeline of early adopters and create the first client base.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a pipeline of business and personal account prospects across adult, iGaming, crypto and payments sectors through cold outreach, referrals and introductions.
• Onboard early adopters ahead of launch and nurture relationships to ensure retention.
• Represent Zazoo at industry events, trade shows and conferences relevant to the target sectors.
• Collaborate with compliance to qualify prospects, understand KYC/AML requirements and move deals forward efficiently.
• Provide customer feedback to inform the product roadmap.
• Meet targets on accounts opened, transaction volume and retention, set jointly with management.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of business development or sales experience in banking, payments, fintech or one of the listed high‑risk sectors.
• Active network in at least one of the adult, iGaming or crypto markets.
• Working knowledge of high‑risk banking and payments, including rolling reserves, chargeback ratios, off‑boarding, and practical KYC/AML processes.
• Confident presenting at events and conducting direct outreach.
• Willingness to be publicly associated with Zazoo and its target sectors.
• Fluent English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of high‑risk banking and payments concepts (rolling reserves, chargeback ratios, off‑boarding, KYC, AML).
• Understanding of EU IBAN, SEPA transfers and related payment infrastructure.
• Ability to qualify prospects with compliance teams and manage onboarding processes.
