Business Developer (Sales/Ukrainian Speaker)

About the role

Mayflower is seeking a Business Developer to drive new merchant acquisition for its payment orchestration platform. The role focuses on the full B2B sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, and requires fluency in English and Ukrainian to engage with regional partners.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential merchants in relevant online business verticals.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified sales opportunities.
• Conduct discovery calls to understand merchants’ payment setups, challenges, volumes and market needs.
• Present Mayflower’s payment orchestration solutions and articulate their commercial value.
• Manage the complete sales process, including qualification, product demos, negotiations and contract closure.
• Develop long‑term relationships with founders, payment managers and senior executives.
• Collaborate closely with partnerships, technical, onboarding and account‑management teams.
• Maintain accurate pipeline data in the CRM and attend relevant industry events.
• Monitor market trends, competitors and emerging opportunities.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of B2B sales or business development experience in fintech, payments, acquiring, banking technology or a closely related sector.
• Fluency in English and Ukrainian.
• Based in Cyprus or willing to relocate.
• Proven experience managing a full B2B sales cycle and closing complex commercial deals.
• Commercially driven, proactive, organised and comfortable working independently.
• Experience working with international clients and multicultural teams.

Required skills

• Fluency in English and Ukrainian.
• Strong understanding of online payments, payment service providers, acquiring, card processing, fraud and chargebacks.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
