Associate Director – Finance

About the role

The Associate Director, Finance will support accurate and timely financial reporting, ensure compliance with internal controls, and drive continuous improvement of finance processes within MUFG Investor Services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations, aligning with transfer pricing policies.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and validate accounting accuracy before sign‑off.
• Monitor financial risks and commitments, ensuring integrity of adjustments.
• Review and consistently implement US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
• Collaborate with external auditors to complete annual audits.
• Track major issues to resolution and adapt controls as needed.
• Train and onboard new team members, promoting knowledge sharing.
• Provide technical accounting support and advise on required financial adjustments.
• Review and approve vendor invoices and employee expenses.
• Contribute to ERP implementation planning, data integrity and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA).
• Minimum six years of accounting experience in a Big 4 firm or a global multi‑functional reporting function.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to understand and oversee processes with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of remote collaboration.
