Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accountant to join our team and oversee a broad range of financial operations, including month‑end closing, management reporting, credit control, payroll and statutory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Run the month‑end close: accounting entries, reconciliations, monthly management accounts and cash‑flow reporting.
• Perform bank reconciliations and prepare payments for approval.
• Issue sales invoices and verify supplier, agent and carrier invoices.
• Manage credit control: set credit terms, monitor balances and follow up overdue invoices.
• Handle VAT and Social Insurance returns, monthly payroll, budgets and audit support.
• Deputise for the Accounting Manager and eventually take over the department.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• ACCA / CIMA / CPA qualification or advanced progress towards it.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience.
• Sound knowledge of Cyprus VAT, payroll and social insurance obligations.
• Fluent in Greek and English.
