Accountant – Cyprus Subsidiaries (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Accountant to manage the accounting operations and statutory reporting of our Cyprus subsidiaries. The role covers the full accounting cycle, month‑end closing, local tax and statutory compliance, external audit coordination, and monthly reporting to Group Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping, including purchase and sales invoices, bank transactions, payroll entries, and accruals.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed‑asset records, depreciation, pre‑payments and accruals.
• Prepare monthly trial balances, management accounts and IFRS financial statements within Group reporting deadlines.
• Prepare Cyprus VAT returns, VIES statements and corporate income tax filings (IR4, IR6).
• Coordinate social‑insurance and payroll‑related filings with payroll providers.
• Ensure timely completion of statutory requirements such as HE32 annual returns.
• Coordinate external audits, providing PBC documentation and responding to auditor queries.
• Prepare monthly reporting packages for Group Finance and manage intercompany confirmations.
• Maintain key financial controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–6 years of professional accounting experience.
• Hands‑on experience with IFRS financial statements and Cyprus VAT/tax filings.
• Fluent English; Greek and/or Russian is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA or equivalent is a plus.
