University Driver (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University Driver will provide safe and reliable transport for students, staff, faculty and guests at the American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo campus in Pafos, Cyprus. The role includes airport pickups, campus shuttles, event logistics and the upkeep of university vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Perform airport transfers, campus‑to‑dormitory trips and support for university events, field trips and recruitment activities.
• Maintain accurate trip logs, plan routes, and adjust schedules for traffic or weather conditions.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections, report faults, and coordinate servicing, MOT inspections and tyre replacement.
• Ensure all vehicle documentation (road tax, insurance, MOT, registration) is current and filed.
• Operate vehicles in full compliance with Cyprus road traffic law, enforce seat‑belt use and report any accidents or violations.
• Handle collection and delivery of documents, supplies and parcels for university offices.

Required profile

• Secondary school education or equivalent.
• Valid Cyprus professional driving licence (category D/D1 preferred) with a clean record.
• Minimum three years of professional driving experience, preferably in institutional or corporate settings.
• Good knowledge of Pafos and Cyprus road networks, including routes to Larnaca and Pafos airports.
• Ability to communicate in Greek and/or English.
• Physical fitness for loading luggage and extended driving periods.

Required skills

• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to identify mechanical issues early.
• Familiarity with navigation applications and use of mobile phone/email for scheduling.
