Trading Data Platform Lead

About the role

IC is seeking a Trading Data Platform Lead to own and evolve its near‑real‑time data platform. The senior individual‑contributor will ensure reliable data pipelines, robust monitoring and high‑quality data for quantitative and analytical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development, maintenance and reliability of the data platform ingesting trading server, bridge and liquidity‑provider feeds, using ClickHouse and Snowflake.
• Establish reconciliation processes, monitor data quality, and manage alerts and operational procedures.
• Define engineering standards such as version control, CI/CD, testing, code review and documentation for data pipelines.
• Design scalable, reusable data solutions to meet evolving analytical and reporting needs across IC companies.
• Collaborate with quantitative, technology and analytics teams to translate requirements into performant data models while preserving data integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience building production data systems.
• Several years of ownership of a production trading data platform in a broker, prop‑trading firm, market‑maker or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of trading data concepts such as deals, positions, netting, swaps and FIX drop copies.

Required skills

• Deep hands‑on experience with ClickHouse (MergeTree, materialized views, performance tuning).
• Production experience with Snowflake.
• Orchestration and streaming tools: Airflow or Dagster, Kafka, change‑data‑capture, dbt.
• Proficient Python programming and advanced SQL.
• Version control, CI/CD pipelines and data‑quality monitoring.
