Team Lead – Engineering

About the role

The Team Lead will guide a cross‑functional engineering group, ensuring operational excellence, team growth, and alignment with business objectives. This leadership position combines strategic planning, performance management, and close collaboration with product and technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Organise daily team operations, workload planning and delivery execution, and facilitate sprint ceremonies.
• Remove blockers, track performance metrics and ensure they meet business expectations.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, off‑boarding and conduct regular one‑on‑one coaching sessions.
• Define and prioritize tasks, manage sprint priorities and balance urgent needs with long‑term initiatives.
• Act as the main liaison for product managers, project managers and other team leads, coordinating cross‑team dependencies.
• Identify and mitigate risks such as knowledge silos, attrition and technical delivery blockers.
• Track, analyse and improve team‑level metrics, pilot new processes and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time, work with agile (Scrum/Kanban) methods and manage cross‑functional teams.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience in recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews and career development.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of software architecture and engineering best practices.
