Software Engineer in Test – Remote (Greece or Cyprus)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer in Test to own automation outcomes for assigned product areas. You will build and maintain Playwright and TypeScript automated tests using the Page Object Model, and direct AI agents to plan, generate, debug and maintain automation.

Key responsibilities

• Own product‑area automation, joining planning before code exists and deciding the right test layer (API, E2E, smoke).
• Build and evolve the test framework with page objects, typed API clients, fixtures and reusable code.
• Design deterministic, fast CI‑E2E tests, fixing flakiness at its root cause.
• Report coverage, risk and defects with detailed information, separating product, automation and environment issues.
• Direct AI agents daily: plan scope, generate tests, investigate failures and reject flaky or irrelevant output.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of professional QA / test automation experience with strong ownership.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript development practices.
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright (or comparable modern web automation framework) and the Page Object Model.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar) and debugging complex test failures.
• Proven ability to work in a flat, non‑hierarchical organization and communicate technical concepts clearly.
