Security Operations Centre Specialist (SOC)

About the role

SkillOnNet is looking for a proactive Security Operations Centre Specialist to lead the monitoring, detection and response capabilities of its iGaming environment. You will manage SIEM and EDR platforms, conduct threat hunting and ensure compliance with ISO 27001 and PCI DSS.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM tools for real‑time alerts, triage incidents and follow established playbooks.
• Develop, tune and maintain detection rules, correlation use cases and automated response actions for SIEM and EDR.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting using threat intelligence, endpoint, network and log data.
• Perform internal and external penetration tests, simulate attack scenarios and produce technical remediation reports.
• Maintain and enrich threat intelligence feeds, IOCs and ensure log collection, retention and integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 3‑5 years of experience in SOC, incident response, threat hunting or security monitoring.
• Hands‑on experience managing SIEM and EDR solutions and familiarity with ISO 27001 and PCI DSS requirements.

Required skills

• SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight).
• EDR solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
• Scripting/automation: PowerShell, Python, KQL, SPL.
• Offensive tools: Metasploit, Cobalt Strike, Burp Suite.
• Log analysis, threat detection methodologies and incident response processes.
