Public Relations Director

About the role

The Public Relations Director will shape and protect the reputation of our clients by leading the PR practice at Partners. Reporting to senior leadership, you will set the strategic direction, oversee a portfolio of accounts and develop a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Define the PR department’s structure, priorities, standards, resourcing and performance metrics.
• Act as trusted senior counsel to key clients, identifying reputation opportunities, managing risks and handling escalations.
• Design and approve strategies for corporate communications, executive positioning, crisis and issues management, media relations and stakeholder engagement.
• Oversee planning and execution of PR events and activations that align with client objectives.
• Maintain and grow influential relationships across the media and stakeholder landscape, keeping the agency ahead of market developments.
• Own portfolio performance, including budgets, revenue, profitability, forecasting, retention and organic growth.
• Lead new‑business pitches, represent Partners in senior networks and contribute to thought leadership.

Required profile

• Significant agency experience in PR or strategic communications, with senior responsibility.
• Proven track record of leading PR teams and managing complex, multi‑account portfolios.
• Deep expertise in corporate reputation, media relations, crisis management, executive communications and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong knowledge of the Cyprus media ecosystem and senior relationships within it.
• Ability to advise C‑suite clients, handle sensitive matters and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Commercial acumen across budgets, margins, forecasting, pricing and new‑business development.
• Excellent writing, presentation and negotiation skills in both Greek and English.
• Leadership style that combines high standards with clarity, empathy and constructive challenge.
