About the role
The Platform Engineer Team Lead works closely with the department manager to coordinate daily operations while actively designing, implementing, and improving platform infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation. This hybrid role blends hands‑on technical work with leadership, mentoring, and driving operational excellence in cloud‑native environments.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute action plans to meet performance targets and KPIs.
- Identify automation opportunities and lead implementation initiatives across the Platform Engineering team.
- Monitor and improve existing CI/CD processes to increase speed, safety, and reliability.
- Coordinate implementation activities, support cross‑team collaboration, and maintain GitLab CI pipeline libraries.
- Assist developers with CI/CD setup, provide troubleshooting, and ensure best practices across Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes.
- Work with Security to remediate vulnerabilities and maintain compliance.
- Set personal targets for team members, provide coaching, and foster a high‑performing team culture.
Required profile
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience with AWS, enterprise‑level Kubernetes, Windows and Linux administration, and release pipeline management.
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and people‑management abilities.
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement, observability, and modern deployment strategies.
