Licensing & Regulatory Expansion Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Licensing & Regulatory Expansion Specialist to lead end‑to‑end fintech licensing projects across international jurisdictions, focusing on Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licences. The role involves coordinating regulatory applications, ensuring compliance readiness, and supporting card and payment business models.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full licensing lifecycle: strategy, application preparation, submission, regulator communication and licence acquisition.
• Coordinate preparation and submission of regulatory documentation with local regulators and external advisors.
• Ensure regulatory readiness of policies, AML/CTF controls, governance frameworks and operational processes.
• Support development and implementation of card‑issuing, acquiring and payment services within licensed entities.
• Build licensing roadmaps, project plans, track risks and provide regular updates to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience obtaining fintech licences (EMI, PI, payment institution, e‑money or similar).
• Experience managing licensing projects in multiple or exotic jurisdictions and working with regulators and external advisors.
• Strong understanding of EMI/payment services regulatory requirements, AML/CTF, governance and risk management.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills.

Required skills

• Project management of complex, multi‑stakeholder licensing initiatives.
• Knowledge of card‑related products and payment infrastructure (issuing, acquiring, processing, card schemes).
