Institutional Sales – Fixed Income & Equities Sales Trader

About the role

EMKAP Ltd is looking for an experienced Institutional Sales professional to expand its Fixed Income and Capital Markets business across Europe, the UK and emerging markets. You will work closely with institutional investors and internal teams to originate and execute a range of fixed‑income and equity transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors, asset managers, family offices, banks, broker‑dealers and corporates.
• Originate and execute fixed income, money‑market, repo and broader capital‑markets transactions.
• Identify new client opportunities, grow trading volumes, custody mandates and cross‑sell the firm’s product suite.
• Present investment ideas, market colour and trading opportunities to clients.
• Collaborate with trading, operations, compliance and custody teams to ensure smooth execution and settlement.
• Represent EMKAP at industry conferences, client meetings and business‑development events.
• Maintain a pipeline of prospects and convert them into recurring revenue.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in institutional sales, fixed‑income sales, bond trading, repo markets or related capital‑markets roles.
• Existing network of institutional clients is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of fixed‑income products such as government bonds, corporate bonds, Eurobonds, structured notes, money‑market instruments and repo transactions.
• Proven track record of business development and revenue generation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑management abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced front‑office environment.
• Knowledge of international settlement and custody infrastructure is advantageous.
• Experience with emerging‑market or European institutional clients is highly desirable.
