Head of PSP & Banking (FX Brokerage)

About the role

A leading FX brokerage is seeking an experienced Head of PSP & Banking to own the full payments and banking strategy. You will source and onboard new providers, improve approval rates and ensure smooth client deposits and withdrawals across all markets. The position is fully remote and has direct impact on revenue and client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the PSP and banking strategy, including sourcing, negotiating and onboarding new providers.
• Manage relationships with existing payment and banking partners and optimise payment routing and cascading.
• Improve deposit approval rates, reduce costs and handle chargebacks and card‑scheme compliance.
• Maintain backup providers to mitigate de‑risking and closures, and oversee safeguarding of client money.
• Monitor PSP performance, payment KPIs and collaborate with Compliance, Finance, Risk, Retention and Tech teams.
• Lead and develop the payments team.

Required profile

• Proven experience at an FX/CFD brokerage (mandatory).
• 5+ years in payments, PSP or banking roles with a strong network of PSPs, acquirers and banks.
• Experience in high‑risk merchant and chargeback management, and familiarity with CySEC/FCA regulations.

• PSP sourcing, negotiation and onboarding.
• Card acquiring, alternative payment methods and local payment methods.
• Payment routing and cascading optimisation.
• AML/KYC, PSD2 and 3DS compliance.
• Safeguarding and client account management.
• Fee and contract negotiation, KPI and approval‑rate analysis.
