Financial Controller

About the role

Supernova is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead day‑to‑day transaction processing, reconciliation oversight, statutory reporting and payroll execution within its technology‑driven, project‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own invoicing and billing across all revenue streams, including subscriptions, licences, cloud services and project‑based contracts.
• Monitor cash flow, receivables and payables, execute payment plans and support collection of overdue balances.
• Execute payroll accurately and on time, handling statutory deductions, reconciliations and employee reimbursements.
• Track project costs, budgets and service‑agreement consumption to ensure accurate revenue recognition and cost control.
• Oversee customer, supplier, bank and general‑ledger reconciliations and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Support tax, VAT, statutory reporting and audit requirements, ensuring timely filings and robust internal controls.
• Prepare management reports and dashboards using BI and reporting tools, and assist with month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with data‑protection and information‑security policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (preferred).
• Professional certification such as ACCA, ACA or equivalent (required).
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in a similar senior role.
• Experience working in a technology‑focused, project‑based environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BI tools for reporting and dashboard creation.
