Cultural Mediator (Dari/Farsi)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is looking for a Cultural Mediator fluent in Dari/Farsi and English to support its migration programmes in Cyprus. Working under the general supervision of the Chief of Mission and directly reporting to the National Project Officer, the successful candidate will help bridge cultural and linguistic gaps for migrants and facilitate the delivery of IOM services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the duties and responsibilities assigned by the Chief of Mission and the National Project Officer, ensuring effective cultural mediation and support for migrants.

Required profile

• High school diploma with at least three years of work experience, or a university degree with one year of relevant experience.
• Previous experience in a similar cultural mediation or multilingual role.
• Fluency in Dari/Farsi and English (both oral and written).
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Strong work ethics and commitment to humanitarian principles.

Required skills

• Computer literacy in standard software applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Dari/Farsi and English.
