AI Solutions Engineer

About the role

Mercuryo is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer to rapidly build and deliver AI‑powered automation tools for internal teams. You will turn requests into working solutions in days, collaborating with Finance, Legal, Operations and Support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop ad‑hoc LLM‑driven tools for document processing, data extraction, classification, reporting and internal chat interfaces.
• Integrate internal systems via APIs and connectors (Jira, Confluence, Slack, BambooHR, CRM, databases).
• Take prototypes to production‑ready state, enable non‑technical teams to use them and hand off to support.
• Analyse real processes to ensure automation matches actual user workflows.

Required profile

• Strong engineering background with Python or TypeScript, API design, SQL and version control.
• Hands‑on production experience with large language models, including prompting, structured output, retrieval‑augmented generation and tool calling.
• Daily use of AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) as a primary workflow tool.
• Ability to work autonomously from problem definition to user adoption.
