Accountant / Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on, detail‑oriented Accountant & Finance Manager to run our entire financial department independently in Cyprus. In this solo position you will own day‑to‑day bookkeeping, cash‑flow management, payroll, tax compliance and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, record daily transactions and execute monthly and annual closing procedures.
• Perform bank, credit‑card and payment‑gateway reconciliations.
• Manage full accounts payable cycle, verify vendor invoices and schedule payments.
• Oversee accounts receivable, issue client invoices and handle collections.
• Monitor daily liquidity and cash‑flow positions.
• Process monthly payroll, including Social Insurance, GESY and PAYE calculations.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and support annual statutory audits and corporate income‑tax filings.
• Generate monthly profit & loss statements, balance sheets and management reports.
• Optimize and maintain cloud accounting software and related financial tools.

Required profile

• 3+ years of full‑cycle accounting experience, preferably within a Cyprus‑registered company or corporate services environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with IFRS and solid practical knowledge of Cyprus tax and VAT laws.
• Highly autonomous, organized and able to manage diverse financial tasks without supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency with cloud accounting systems such as Xero or QuickBooks.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
