Resources Management Officer (P)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Resources Management Officer (P) to lead the budgetary, financial and administrative functions of its Cyprus office. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and working closely with senior managers in Brussels and the Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia, the officer will ensure effective resource management to support IOM’s migration programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the Resource Management Unit in Nicosia, ensuring compliance with IOM policies and procedures.
• Plan and implement structural reforms within the unit in coordination with the Chief of Mission.
• Manage the preparation, monitoring and reporting of the Cyprus budget and financial statements.
• Provide financial and administrative support to Heads of Units and Project Coordinators.
• Coordinate with the Senior Sub‑Regional Resources Management Officer in Brussels, the Regional Office, the Department of Financial and Administrative Management at HQ and the Global Shared Services Centre.
• Build capacity of staff in budgeting, financial management and administrative processes.

Required profile

• Eligibility as a first‑tier candidate according to IOM’s recruitment policy (internal staff or nationals of non‑represented Member States).
• Demonstrated experience in budgetary, financial and administrative management within an international or public‑sector context.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
