Mid/Senior Java Backend Engineer

About the role

Revolut is looking for a Mid/Senior Backend Engineer to help build and evolve the core services that power its global financial super‑app. You will work on clean, maintainable code using TDD, DDD and continuous delivery practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement mobile APIs that serve millions of users.
• Develop microservices to evolve Revolut’s architecture.
• Maintain and improve critical systems such as risk management, fraud detection, and payment processing.
• Focus on greenfield development as well as refactoring existing services.

Required profile

• Fluency with Java and at least 4 years of backend development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related field.
• Quick learner with an ambitious, results‑driven attitude.
• Strong team player able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Fluent English.
