Engineering Manager - Frontend - Consumer

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Engineering Manager to lead a cross‑functional Consumer pod that builds and scales the core Kraken (Krak) experiences. You will oversee both frontend (React / React Native) and backend (Rust) engineers, ensuring seamless, high‑performance user experiences across web and mobile platforms for a global user base.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of frontend and backend engineers delivering core consumer features.
• Own end‑to‑end UX for key functionalities on mobile and client platforms.
• Partner with Product Managers and Designers to define high‑impact features.
• Maintain consistent engineering standards across services and client apps.
• Champion code quality, maintainable architecture, and engineering excellence.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of growth, collaboration and inclusivity.
• Drive agile processes, project tracking and use metrics such as DORA and cycle time to improve delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams delivering customer‑facing products at scale.
• Background managing combined frontend and backend teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Empathy for customers and passion for intuitive, performant consumer experiences.
