Content Specialist

About the role

Mayflower is looking for a hands‑on Content Specialist to grow the platform’s audience by turning existing videos into engaging external content and experimenting with original productions and paid promotion.

Key responsibilities

• Find and select videos: explore platform content to identify footage with strong potential for external distribution.
• Edit and adapt content: cut footage, improve pacing, add branding, calls‑to‑action and format videos for each platform.
• Prepare publication materials: craft titles, descriptions, thumbnails and tracking links to boost visibility.
• Ensure proper content rights: verify creator consent and redistribution rights in coordination with Legal.
• Upload and manage videos: publish on tube sites and third‑party platforms, maintain a consistent schedule and organized accounts.
• Optimize for growth: track views, engagement and registrations, using analytics to refine selection and distribution.
• Explore new opportunities: test new platforms, video formats and publication approaches.
• Produce original content: propose ideas and collaborate with creators on exclusive videos.
• Run paid promotion tests: identify advertising opportunities, purchase placements within budget and evaluate results.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in content management, video production or content distribution.
• Hands‑on video editing ability to turn source footage into publishable videos.
• Good judgment in selecting engaging footage and creating effective titles and thumbnails.
• Understanding of how content drives traffic and attracts new users.
• Ability to use performance data to improve work.
• Strong English communication skills, written and spoken.
• Self‑motivation to work independently, manage a regular publishing schedule and meet deadlines.
• Access to reliable high‑speed internet.
