Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Fully Remote

About the role

Social Discovery Group (SDG) is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead one of its core enterprise products. This fully remote position reports to the C‑level team and partners closely with product, design and engineering teams to accelerate delivery and drive business value.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and optimise the current software development lifecycle (SDLC) to remove bottlenecks and shorten time‑to‑market.
• Design and implement engineering and project frameworks (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) that ensure predictable, transparent feature delivery.
• Act as the primary technical partner for the product organisation, owning the technical execution of the business backlog.
• Align engineering resources with product goals and establish a single source of truth for delivery status, risks and timelines.
• Synchronise cross‑functional teams, resolve dependencies, and build structured execution systems.
• Validate product requirements against technical feasibility and provide data‑driven push‑back when needed.
• Present technical strategies, progress and risks to C‑level executives.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in SDLC setup, optimisation and delivery management.
• Advanced knowledge of IT project management frameworks (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and ability to track and improve time‑to‑market metrics.
• Strong understanding of product development lifecycles and product analytics to support data‑driven engineering decisions.
• Experience managing and prioritising a business backlog from an engineering perspective.
• Solid architectural knowledge to evaluate feasibility of product requests and map business requirements to technical execution plans.
