Software Fraud Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Software Fraud Engineer to design and build a next‑generation fraud prevention platform. You will create real‑time detection systems, risk engines and automated decision‑making services that safeguard our users and business.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop fraud detection systems for payments, wallets, authentication and user activity.
• Detect account takeover, payment fraud, bonus abuse, multi‑accounting and other abuse scenarios.
• Build real‑time fraud pipelines, event‑processing systems and automated prevention mechanisms.
• Develop and improve fraud rules, velocity controls and dynamic risk scoring.
• Analyze transaction patterns, user behavior, device intelligence and risk signals using large‑scale event streams.
• Create internal investigation and monitoring tools for Fraud, Support and Compliance teams.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs and internal tooling for risk evaluation, optimizing latency for real‑time decisions.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Hands‑on experience building fraud prevention, risk, payment, fintech or security systems.
• Strong backend development background (Go, Java, Kotlin, Python or similar).
• Experience with distributed, event‑driven architectures and large datasets.
• Solid SQL skills and understanding of payment flows, authentication and transactional systems.
• Proven ability to design real‑time decision engines and optimize detection accuracy.
• Fluent English and strong analytical/problem‑solving abilities.
