Senior UI/UX Designer

About the role

HyperHug is looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to create and implement complex interfaces for its upcoming mobile multiplayer shooter, Oxide: Survival Island. The role combines visual design, user‑experience strategy and hands‑on Unity implementation in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end UI/UX solutions for new game features, from user flows and wireframes to production‑ready layouts.
• Develop interfaces for core gameplay and meta systems, ensuring a consistent player experience.
• Create monetisation features such as battle passes, gacha mechanics, limited‑time offers and reward flows.
• Build and maintain a scalable design system with reusable components, templates and UI guidelines.
• Implement and assemble interfaces directly in Unity, including layouts, states, transitions, animations and responsive behaviour.
• Connect UI elements to game events, data calls and visual effects in collaboration with developers.
• Prototype and iterate UI functionality using AI‑assisted development tools.
• Review existing interfaces, identify inconsistencies and continuously improve usability and visual quality.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional UI/UX design experience in game development.
• Strong portfolio showcasing complex game interfaces across core, meta and monetisation systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Unity’s UI system and independent assembly of UI components.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma and ability to translate design documentation into intuitive interfaces.
• Familiarity with AI‑coding or vibe‑coding tools for rapid prototyping.
• Understanding of game UX, information hierarchy, player behaviour and interface flows.
