Senior Software Engineer – Quality Assurance

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Quality Assurance to join Xenith’s fintech engineering team. You will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our cross‑border payment processing platforms, working in a fast‑growing B2B environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for payment systems.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Business Operations to define testing requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Identify, document and track defects, partnering with developers for timely resolution.
• Automate test cases to increase coverage and efficiency within CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform functional, regression, integration and performance testing across multiple payment flows and APIs.
• Analyze production incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Monitor system logs, transactions and alerts to proactively detect issues.
• Maintain QA documentation, including test plans, scripts and UAT reports.
• Promote best QA practices and continuously improve testing methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance or test automation, preferably in fintech or payment processing.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and structure complex issues.

Required skills

• API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Test automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress or Playwright.
• Scripting languages: Python, Java, JavaScript.
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI.
• Experience with cloud‑based infrastructure testing.
