Senior QA Engineer – Backend Automation

About the role

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer focused on backend testing to join our TradeTech team. You will help ensure the reliability of our fintech trading platforms by building and maintaining automated test suites.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated tests for backend services of trading platforms.
• Increase automation coverage to minimise manual testing and accelerate defect detection.
• Perform data validation, end‑to‑end and integration testing across internal and third‑party applications.
• Debug, document and track issues, collaborating closely with developers for rapid resolution.
• Continuously improve testing tools, methodologies and processes.
• Work with product managers and developers to align testing with requirements and use cases.
• Share best practices, mentor engineers and promote a high‑performance QA culture.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in QA test automation.
• Strong analytical mindset with great attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude and ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
• Fluent English communication, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
• Programming languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C#.
• Version control with Git.
• SQL for data validation.
• Message‑queue technologies such as Kafka or Solace.
• API protocols: Protobuf, gRPC, REST.
• API testing tools: Postman or Insomnia.
• Log analysis tools like Graylog or Kibana.
