Lead Software Engineer (Java) – SSO

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to own the design and delivery of secure, scalable authentication services within Revolut’s SSO team. You will guide a small engineering group, ensure high‑quality code, and drive continuous delivery using modern Java practices. You will collaborate with product, security and infrastructure teams to deliver features that protect millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain micro‑services that power our single sign‑on platform.
• Improve core systems such as risk management, fraud detection and payment processing.
• Lead greenfield initiatives while refactoring existing services for reliability and performance.

Required profile

• 6+ years of backend development experience, primarily with Java.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude, quick learner and results‑driven.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, fluent in English.
