Hardware Support Engineer

About the role

Gcore is seeking a Hardware Support Engineer to join its Infrastructure Team. You will work on data‑center server equipment, ensuring reliable operation and rapid issue resolution for a global AI‑driven platform.

Key responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and proactive maintenance on server hardware in data‑center environments.
• Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, data‑center staff, and customers to resolve hardware incidents efficiently.
• Document hardware configurations, changes, and resolutions accurately.
• Help develop and refine hardware maintenance processes and best‑practice guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional IT experience with a focus on hardware support.
• Strong understanding of server architecture and PC hardware components.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues end‑to‑end.
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix systems.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including InfiniBand, IP addressing, DNS, gateways, MAC addresses, ping, ifconfig and traceroute.
• Experience with GPU‑cluster hardware troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently, multitask and manage time effectively.
• Intermediate level English proficiency.
